Why does he even need this??? A little grotesque, isn't it? At least this one doesn't appear to have any hidden machine-guns inside. Wait, why would that even be something he thought it could have??? 5: A single silver hoop earring. If it had the transmitter pen that goes with it, it could be used as a radio receiver, but he won't know that, because the pen won't be there. He doesn't even have any piercings yet! 6: A little rubber Thomas keychain. 7: The black box, taken from Ship 5 with Rem's last words as its final recording, that Brad had been trying to fix and pull the recording from for the past five years back home. Is it fixed, now? /Shrug!/ 8: The photograph of Rem and the twins recovered from the wreck of Ship 5 and kept in a frame on his desk back on Ship 3. 9: A first-aid kit, including things like bandages, medical tape, antibiotic ointment, alcohol wipes, etc. 10: A little black, green-eyed cat. Just a normal, mischievous black cat who seems to like following him around everywhere. Nothing unusual about that, right? Even if she does look like she understands everything he says, she only ever does cat things, so he must be imagining it. (No, really, just a cat. Just one of those stupid ones who's too smart for her own good. We've all owned or known one.)
